Citroen Acadiane Nomad Camping Car

Imported to the UK as a new van in 1982 and converted by a Citroen dealer in Brockenhurst. It is believed that they made six. The conversion involved creating the lifting roof and drop-down rear doors (which, with a canvas hood, give full sleeping length inside), conversion to right-hand drive and fitting out the interior with cooker, sink and lots of storage space. This photo taken in Kelso, Scotland in 2005.
